Digital Leaders

Digital Leaders

At Penboyr school a team of five digital leaders from years 5 and 6 have been elected by their classmates to help promote and implement ICT effectively by spreading their skills and knowledge to enhance all aspects of technology around the school.
To develop their leadership and team working skills, our enthusiastic digital leaders will attend meetings and have training sessions to assist them in their role, which will offer an invaluable source of knowledge to both staff and pupils.
In order to continually build on all aspects of emerging technologies, the digital leaders will carry out specific jobs and share their expertise and skills by:
familiarizing themselves with programmes and equipment
implement e-safeguarding
offer extra curricular opportunities by leading a lunchtime ICT Club for pupils in order to extend their learning
be responsible for their own ICT notice board in order to display forthcoming events and activities
collaborate effectively with staff and pupils in order to help with digital tasks
effective modeling to peers by visiting classes and helping groups with the use of digital resources
With the rapid changes in digital technology, we at Penboyr school feel that with the help of our digital leaders we are able to spread and promote the use of ICT and support the school with innovative ideas.
