Our radio station was bought from the radio broadcaster Marc Griffiths through Radio Cymru FM as an initiative to enhance literacy and communication by developing language skills by creative script writing, also research and confidence in interviewing and broadcasting over the air-ways! Pupils learn the benefits of working as part of a team with the responsibilities of planning and presenting each show.
We are able to upload our finished programme to Radio Cymru FM and it can be aired at a day and time of our choice.
As we are broadcasting through Cymru FM, we do not have any problem with copyright and can therefore play any song in our programme.
We use a programme called ‘Audacity’ to edit our programme.
The pupi;s enjoy using the programme and are confident and can edit and produce their finial broadcast to a high standard before submitting to Cymru FM.
